How do I recycle my used capsules?

Recycle your capsules the easy way! Request a free recycling bag with your next coffee order. Pick one up in a Boutique, order online, or contact us on 0800 442 442 (UK) / 1800 812 660 (ROI) or via Live Chat, to request one at any time. 

Save your capsules - Place your used capsules in the Nespresso recycling bag and when your bag is filled to the line (approx 200 capsules, less for the larger Vertuo capsules) seal it securely.

You then have the option to choose how to return your recycling to us:

Book a free collection – For telephone orders, please let our Coffee Specialists know at the point of ordering that you would like a collection of used capsules so that they may book this with our courier.

For online orders, you can add to your basket any time by using the options on the bottom of every coffee blend page. Alternatively, use the 'Sustainability' tab on the menu and select 'How to Recycle'. You just need to add how many bags you need collecting (up to 9 at any one time). You can also order replacement recycling bags here. Please note that recycling bags and collections cannot be ordered on their own via the website.

Collection - Your Nespresso recycling bag will be collected by our courier from your doorstep within 1-3 working days of placing your order. You do not have to be at home to handover the bag, you can just leave it visible on your doorstep to be taken away. Please note that for orders delivered on a weekend, your recycling will be collected the next working day.

Collect+ - For Members in the UK, you can also use our Collect+ service to drop off your capsules at a local store. Find out more about this service on our Recycling page. You can request free returns labels to print at home or in store here.
